Critical/Analytical Essay Writing - The Basics
Look at the information available to learn more about the structure of the critical/analytical essay. Your tone and style should be formal in a critical/analytical essay --> this means you should NOT use the word "I" or "we". Use "one" or leave out any reference to yourself. Your thesis statement is the most important statement - all of your paragraphs and main ideas should link back towards it. If you are stuck start with: When an individual (has a goal) they are (impacted by the conflict) which (leads to a result/realization) When an individual encounters (an obstacle) they respond (by …..) which results in ( ….. ). Review Past Diploma Topics in order to prepare for your essay. Look at the text you will be using and then decide how it will fit into each topic. |
